C. Scott Crabdree


Scott Crabdree is the president of Crabdree Insurance and Financial Services, Inc., founded in 1969.  Scott started his insurance career in 1991 and is a Certified Insurance Counselor.  He specializes in writing large commercial accounts, life insurance, long-term care, and disability insurance.  Crabdree Insurance & Financial Services, Inc. has offices in Payson, AZ; Scottsdale, AZ; and Albuquerque, NM.  Scott has served on the Independent Agents and Brokers of Arizona Executive board and is a past President; he currently serves in an advisory capacity. Scott also sits on two insurance company's regional advisory committees (Auto-Owners Insurance Company and Central Mutual Insurance Company) and has served in the same capacity in the past for other companies, most notably Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Arizona.  He has received numerous awards from within the insurance industry.  Scott is an 18-time recipient of "Best Insurance Agency" in the annual Payson Roundup's Best of the Rim Country Readership Poll. 


Active in the community, Scott serves on the board of directors for the Payson Regional Medical Center, and is the incoming President of the Rim Country Rotary Club.  In addition, Scott has served as the chairman of the Payson chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and is currently a member of the board of directors for the Mogollon Sporting Association.  Scott is a past Chamber of Commerce President as well.  Scott has coached youth, Middle School and High School sports and is very active in the community.  Scott and his wife of 30 years, Tina, enjoy spending time with their two adult children as well as travelling and volunteering for various organizations.  He is an avid outdoorsman and photographer.

Tina Crabdree


Tina Crabdree was proudly raised on U.S. Air Force bases throughout the United States.  She graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors of Science degree in Range Science and a minor in Wildlife Biology.  Upon graduation she began a career with the USDA Forest Service in both Range and Wildlife and was an Asst. Ranger when she left to begin her family and assist her husband Scott in his business endeavors.  Five years later she completed her Masters in Secondary Science  Education , summa cum laude, and began a career as a high school biology teacher.   In 2000, Tina was voted the Arizona teacher of the year and had the privilege of starting a charter school and serving as its Curriculum Coordinator. 
In 2004, Tina again took an opportunity to work with Scott and obtained her insurance license.  She provides training, compliance, and assists Scott in the day-to-day operations of the agency.  Tina hopes that her influence in the agency ensures that each client is treasured.


Tina and Scott have a home in Payson, AZ, as well as a condo in Scottsdale and divide their time between the two offices.  She believes that community service is vital and has served as a charter member of the Rim Country Optimists, on various school councils (Character Counts, Superintendent Advisory Board, and currently on the Payson Center for Success Site Council) and the Payson Art League.   Tina and Scott raised two children and are looking forward to what future joys family holds.  Tina has many interests: reading, travelling, outdoor pursuits, and is a Diamondback fanatic.  She is most passionate about her oil painting and has found some success selling her art privately and in shows.

Karen Crabtree

Karen Crabtree is a licensed insurance agent and part of the Crabdree team for ten years.  She specializes in Commercial Insurance and is highly knowledgeable about the risk and exposure needs of business clients and writes Personal insurance as well.  She is also licensed as a Life & Health insurance agent and is the primary writer of group health plans in the agency.  Karen is proud to be part of such a fine insurance team, providing excellent insurance products and even more exceptional customer service.  Prior to joining the team at Crabdree, Karen had a career with the Payson Unified School District for ten years; she was the lead administrative secretary for Rim Country Middle School. 


Karen moved to Payson in 1981 with her husband and was a stay at home mom for ten years.  Her family expanded recently and she now enjoys spending as much time as possible with three grown children, their spouses, and her three grandchildren.  She loves the Rim Country for its people, climate, quiet atmosphere and beautiful landscape.  Karen is an avid hiker, golfer, and enjoys gardening.
